Ben Tanner, Parent Governor (Vice Chair)

I was delighted to join the Governing body at the end of 2019. My wife and I have lived in Bury St Edmunds since 2011 and enjoy the culture and history of our town.  We have one daughter at Guildhall Feoffment and another joining in September 2020. My monitoring responsibilities as a governor include Mathematics and Pupil Premium.

 

Professionally, I have an educational background:  holding a Masters of Arts and Masters of Education from the University of Cambridge and I have been a Head of Mathematics in two different secondary schools. I am currently Assistant Principal at a local secondary school, Sybil Andrews Academy.
