Welcome

We are a happy, friendly school situated in the centre of Bury St. Edmunds. At present there are 373 pupils on roll.

Guildhall Feoffment Pre-school is located on its new site at Ford House which is just a few minutes walk from the main school.  It provides excellent pre-school education and care for our youngest children. Skylarks Club is held on the main school site and provides pre and after school care and also runs a Holiday Club.

After Schools in Bury St Edmunds underwent School Organisation Review we became a full primary school (4-11) in September 2016.  We are very pleased to be part of the Bury Schools Partnership.

Bury Schools Partnership schools work together on improving teaching, developing the curriculum, providing high quality staff training and sharing the expertise already in our schools.

At Guildhall Feoffment every child is special to us. Our aim is to enable children to achieve the highest standards within a secure and stimulating environment. We promote high standards of behaviour and help children to develop strong moral values in a caring and supportive atmosphere. We offer a great variety of academic, sporting and creative opportunities at Guildhall Feoffment and we encourage all pupils to take advantage of them.

Our Values and Ethos

We acknowledge the importance of a positive relationship between home and school in order to provide the very best educational development for all the children in our care. We therefore encourage parents to take an active role in the life of the school and particularly in supporting the educational development of the children.

We appreciate working in partnership with parents as we recognise that parental support is vital in promoting children's achievements.  We organise two formal Parent-Teacher consultations (Autumn and Spring terms) during the academic year at which we discuss pupils' achievement data in English and Mathematics and ways in which parents can help their children to achieve targets for future learning.  We are pleased to meet with parents at other times as appropriate - parents should contact the school office to make an appointment to meet with their child's class teacher.  Teachers are in the playground at the end of every school day and are pleased to meet with parents on an informal basis.  An annual report for every pupil is given to parents in July.

Please make an appointment to come to visit our school and talk with me about the opportunities which are available at Guildhall Feoffment.
